Being Human

Losing the The Expanse made me go soul-searching for new television shows to follow. One show of which is Being Human. It’s a show where a vampire, werewolf, and ghost share an apartment in Boston.

The protagonist vampire is a Boston hospital nurse, and he works with his friend, the werewolf, who is trying very hard not to kill people. And while the vampire is also trying hard not to feed on humans, his vampire colleagues that run the Boston Police Department are encouraging him to do so because they soon plan to go on an all-out war with humanity. And I have to say, the Boston police vampires look eerily identical to the real ones.

This show also has a British counterpart (the original) that begins on a similar path but then diverges after the first season. However, many fans prefer you watch the US and UK versions together, and I’m doing so.

Oh, by the way, the US version was filmed in Quebec with Canadian actors playing Bostonians. And it can’t be complete without contemporary Canadian pop playing between the scenes.
